Headquartered in Philadelphia, Eluna is a public, 501(c)(3) non-profit with a mission to support children and families impacted by grief or addiction. Founded in 2000 in Seattle by former MLB pitcher Jamie Moyer and child advocate Karen Phelps Moyer, Eluna was originally called The Moyer Foundation and launched a series of programs supporting thousands of children and families annually at no cost to them.
Unfortunately, the challenges faced by the children and families Eluna serve, don’t go away just because the world is mostly on pause. For many, interruptions to regular routine, isolation from community, and anxiety about the state of the world can exacerbate their sense of well-being. The Eluna Resource Center has compiled a list of Strategies for Thriving During the COVID-19 Pandemic that outlines family-friendly activities, age-appropriate resources, and mindfulness tips. The Eluna Resource Center also offers personalized reports and referrals for anyone who may be struggling with grief, a loved one’s addiction, mental health, and a variety of related complex challenges.
