VU PHL & Bethesda Project - Virtual Voluntbeering in November!

Now, more than 30 years since our beginning, Bethesda Project remains committed to our initial calling — to find and care for the abandoned poor and to be family with those who have none. Bethesda Project serves 2,000 homeless and formerly homeless men and women each year at 14 sites throughout Philadelphia.

We are honored to partner with Bethesda Project for this month's virtual volunteering event as part of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Bethesda Project is an old friend of ours, and this time around we are helping them cook & prep meals that will be distributed to homeless individuals in Philadelphia.

Chef Eli Milligan (co-founder of Cooking for the Culture and Greenwood Supper Club) will be leading us in a virtual cooking lesson over Zoom. Once you've mastered the art of cooking, there will be VU Crew meal drop-off sites throughout Philly so our board members can bring your meals to Bethesda Project for distribution. About one week out from 11/14, you will receive an email with the recipe, ingredients, and equipment needed.

Don't want to cook? We get it, this pandemic has pushed us all to our cooking limits! We will also be making Thanksgiving and holiday cards for Bethesda Project to distribute.
