Join us for our March Second Saturday volunteering event on Saturday, 3/13. We have two great nonprofits that we are partnering up with and have both an in person and a virtual option!
ACCT Philly is the region's largest animal care and control service provider, serving the City of Philadelphia by contract. ACCT Philly offers adoption, foster and volunteer programs as well as owner surrender prevention resources. They take in nearly 18,000 animals annually, from dogs and cats, to small animals, reptiles, birds and wildlife. Their mission is to provide shelter, care and life saving efforts for homeless, abandoned, and abused animals and protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Philadelphia, providing a benefit to all of the citizens of the City regardless of race or economic status.
When: Saturday, 3/13 10am-12pm
Volunteer Activities: Taking Milkbones and sandwiching them together with peanut butter for ACCT pups
*Optional: Stuffing Kongs or trachea treats with dry & wet dog food
*Optional: Making tissue box cat toys

Philadelphia Community Corps provides career training programs that empower under served citizens to revitalize blighted neighborhoods by deconstructing vacant buildings and salvaging materials for reuse.
When: Saturday, 3/13 10am-12pm
Volunteer Activities: De-nailing lumber (if it's warm enough!) and organizing 30,000 square feet of carpet
