On May 21st we're partnering with East Poplar Playground and Children of Paradise to clean up the park and prep for a mural to be painted. We know, it sounds like a real blast - please join us in the fun!
Children of Paradise's mission is to promote productivity and independent living accessibility opportunities for individuals with disabilities, resources for transitional adults working/building a career and attending school, as well as resources for individuals dealing with suicide/suicidal thoughts and just assistance to anyone who needs resources and a hand. They strive to promote diversity, education, awareness, and opportunities.
What we'll be doing:
Mural work: prepping the wall space for a mural to be painted in the near future
Park clean up
Skate park clean up
What you need to know:
We'll be working alongside folks from the Children of Paradise organization for this event
Rain shouldn't affect this event as we will be located under the train overpass.
VU PHL will provide work gloves and trash picker-uppers, if you'd like to bring your own, you're more than welcome to.
